Kirtland Temple

This is us at the Kirtland Temple.

This temple was built when Joseph Smith was alive.

We came to the Kirtland Temple for a fireside. We also saw our friends there.

I like the songs because I like to sing.  It was fun to go into the Kirtland Temple again.

Island of the Blue Dolphins

A few weeks ago we finished listening to Island of the Blue Dolphins.  It was about a girl named Karana who was alone on an island for 18 years.

A wild dog killed her brother. The dog, Rontu, became her pet.  She also got two baby pet birds and found a seal that was stuck in some seaweed. Soon Rontu died then she put the dog by her brother who died.  One day she saw a dog who looked like Rontu.  She realized that the dog who looked like Rontu was his son. She caught him and then kept him as her pet.  Soon after that they got saved. Karana died after 7 weeks of being rescued.

I liked this book because there are a lot of animals in it.  She made the animals her pets.  I think it was nice and brave that Karana came back to the island for her brother.  It was sad because her dad, brother, and Rontu all died.

We have been in Ohio for one year.

 Such a cute family.
